Woodmark International, founded in 1986 by Danish upholsterer Arne Norgaard Christiansen, transitioned from importing to manufacturing Danish-designed furniture in Australia by 31st December 1990, becoming a pioneer in producing licensed pieces for brands like Erik Jørgensen and Fritz Hansen. Known for high-quality craftsmanship, Woodmark furnished iconic projects like the Sydney Opera House and collaborated with Australian designer Charles Wilson on the acclaimed CW1 Swivel Chair, now in the Powerhouse Museum. Jørgensen Australia, likely a licensing partner of Denmark’s Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik (est. 1954), worked with Woodmark to produce designs like the EJ70 “Partner” Chair locally, blending Scandinavian minimalism with Australian manufacturing expertise to deliver premium furniture for commercial and residential markets.

Four Erik Jørgensen EJ70 “Partner” Chairs available, all in very good condition with minimal use. One chair has slight cracking on the front edge of the seat, barely noticeable. Crafted in butterscotch leather by Woodmark International and Jørgensen Australia, these chairs are a rare find, perfect for elevating any space.
