George Doukoff Chair

This Chair has been fully restored in the style of the original chair designed by George Doukoff.

The Chair Features a Moulded piece of plywood, with 1/2 inch of rubber foam and new grey upholstery.

The Maple frame has been refinished in a Modern Wax Oil.

Fantastic piece, wonderful grain and timeless design. This chair would make a wonderful feature chair, for any collector.

Background Information

George Doukoff was born in Bulgaria and migrated to Australia in 1951. George Doukoff later set up a small furniture business designing chairs in Brisbane.

The Volkschair was designed to meet the requirements of the government institutions and homes and was known as the “Heath line chair”.

Fully restored chair.

*the Moulded plywood is 60 years old and does have some extra play in the back..due to age and use.
