Background Information:

 Tobia Scarpa, the visionary designer behind the iconic Coronado chair, was born in Venice in 1935. A graduate in architecture, Scarpa, alongside his wife Afra Bianchin, established a highly successful design studio known for groundbreaking contributions to industrial design. In 1970, he received the prestigious Compasso d’Oro, underscoring his profound impact on the design world. The Coronado chair, introduced in 1966 as part of his collaboration with B&B Italia, stands as a testament to Scarpa’s revolutionary approach. Its distinctive high backrest and suspension system, featuring harmonic steel bands, reflect his commitment to both comfort and innovation. Beyond the Coronado, Scarpa’s influence extended to various prestigious projects, including his work with Maxalto and his architectural endeavors, leaving an enduring legacy in the realms of furniture design and architecture. Condition:

In very good condition, both sofas have received meticulous cleaning. The fabric retains its quality, with only slight fading and a single stitching repair on the back cushion. Additionally, there is a small tear on the side/bottom, discreetly captured in the accompanying pictures. The robust design and innovative construction of these sofas guarantee durability, making them a lasting and timeless enhancement to any space. While both sofas exhibit minor signs of use, their overall condition remains very good
