Description
Originally designed in the 1950s by Ercol’s founder ( Lucian R. Ercolani) , the Evergreen has remained in continuous production ever since. Its steam-bent ash frame is crafted using traditional techniques, while the Evergreen cushions ensure optimal support and comfort. The high back of this lounge chair offers additional support, and the webbing on the chair’s base adds springiness and comfort. Classic Windsor wedge joints not only provide excellent strength but also serve as a beautiful feature on the arms. Additionally, ercol comb joints enhance the seat frame’s durability.
This Evergreen armchair features new sponge padding for the seating and has been upholstered in Forest Green Warwick Pulsar fabric. I thought this chair would look more modern with a large cushion on the back, according to the buyer’s preference. I still have the original Seat and back cushion , if required.
These chairs are still being produced by Ercol and can be purchased for just over $4000 each!

The frames have been cleaned and polished, showing some small signs of use on the arms. The seat cushion has been updated with new sponge and upholstery.
