Description
A genuine Tessa T9 lounge suite, designed by Fred Lowen and produced in the late 1970s to early 1980s. The T9 represents the final phase of Tessa’s mid‑century design era, recognised for its flowing frame profile and supportive, upright seating position.
This suite has had one careful owner from new and was scarcely used, having spent its life in a spare room. The frames are walnut, each stamped Tessa, and have been professionally cleaned and waxed, presenting in very good vintage condition. All chairs have had their webbing renewed, ensuring long‑term comfort and structural reliability. The original Tessa‑labelled cushions remain with the suite and present well with age‑appropriate wear.
With a comparatively short production run, the T9 is one of Tessa’s less commonly seen designs and remains highly regarded for its comfort, craftsmanship, and distinctive sculptural form.
