Antonio Citterio, born in Meda (Milano) in 1950, stands as a prominent figure in the design world. Establishing his design office in 1972 after graduating in architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 1975, Citterio has consistently shaped the global design landscape. His collaboration with Terry Dwan from 1987 to 1996 resulted in iconic buildings across Europe and Japan. In 2000, he co-founded the architectural and interior design practice, now known as “Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel,” with Patricia Viel. Recognized with prestigious awards, including the Compasso d’Oro-ADI in 1987 and 1994, Citterio is celebrated for his influential contributions to industrial design. As the art director of Maxalto, Arclinea, and Azucena, he continues to leave an indelible mark on the design industry, exemplified by his enduring collaboration with B&B Italia, a partnership that embodies innovation, sophistication, and timeless elegance.
