Here we have a rare Tessa design, believed to have been created by Fred Lowen exclusively for Tessa Furniture, manufactured only for a few years in the late 1960s.
This rare design draws influences from both the Tessa T1 and the more popular Tessa T21. The main shell of the chair remains identical across all three models.
The arms are crafted from Australian Blackwood. This version features the sought-after and stylish Sleigh legs.
The sofa has been reupholstered at some point with Teal Ribbed Velvet.
This sofa offers the same level of comfort as the highly sought-after Tessa T21, great investment piece.

Condition:
These lounges are solidly built to last, with a metal and wood frame and metal springs for the seating area. The chair is just over 50 years old and remains as sturdy now as it was when it left the factory. The arms have been oiled and polished, rejuvenating them, though one arm has undergone a few veneer repairs.
The fabric has been cleaned and is in great condition, showing only minor signs of use. However, on some cushions, the material on the back has become un-stitched from the main upholstery, When the cushions were reupholstered, the backing material used was a hard outdoor fabric, which isn’t suitable for the back of a cushion. That’s the reason it hasn’t worn very well and has come apart in places.. While only noticeable when you remove the cushions, this does not affect the use.
