Background Information
Charles Pollock was an influential American industrial designer best known for his groundbreaking work in furniture design. His most iconic creation, the Pollock Executive Chair, introduced in 1963 for Knoll, revolutionized modern office seating with its innovative “rim technology.” Pollock’s designs are characterized by their elegant simplicity, clean lines, and a focus on both form and function. His contributions to mid-century design have left a lasting legacy, and his work continues to be celebrated for its timeless sophistication and practical innovation.
Condition
All chairs were made in 1985. While the condition varies slightly, they are all in good shape. However, as used items, they show some signs of wear. I have cleaned and conditioned the leather, and all chairs swivel with ease. The chairs have some pitting on the metal band (reflected in price); I have polished it up—it’s not too bad at all and not very noticeable (see pics). There are minor scratches and scuffs on the leather, but no cracks or rips.

Overall dimensions: 78-87cm high. 66cm wide. 70cm deep.
Seat height: 47-55cm.
Arm height from floor: 65-73cm.
